Change the look with Pillow Covers

I get bored with my home decor very quickly and while I dream about changing the flooring, wall color, and furniture, I also know it's not practical or affordable.  I can however change the curtains and accessories such as the toss pillows to give my room a whole new look.  With a neutral color scheme such as my beige walls and a tan and brown sofa, it's easy to have completely different look by simply bringing in different colors with the use of fabrics.  One of my favorite ways of changing the look is recovering my pillows.  In one of my previous entries, you'll see I had a lovely summery orange and green coral print fabric that I used to Redecorate for Cheap..  During the Holidays the covers were removed and the look for the winter were reds and burgundy. Now that it is almost spring, I'm ready for a change again and lucky for me I found pretty fabric at a great price.  Bought at Walmart for $2.00 per yard, this cotton print is lovely and cheerful, with 3 yards total, that's $6.00 I made pillow covers for 4 sixteen inch pillows and 1 twenty inch pillow.  I also have enough fabric left over to make a table runner or tie backs for my curtains, I haven't decided as of yet.
