Back in November I wrote a blog entry about committing to make hats for Caps for Good, happy to say I met my goal and made 25 hats for the Good Goes Caps for Good Cause. I wish it had been possible for me to make more, but life got in the way. I hope my small effort when put together with the efforts of all the wonderful crocheters and knitters around the country who are participating can make a difference in the lives of little ones entering our world in difficult conditions.

Caps for Good
Do you crochet or knit? If you do I'm sure you have lots of leftover yarn on hand, so why not put your stash to use and help me support this wonderful cause.
My favorite charitable organization Save The Children and Warm Up America are sponsoring a wonderful campaign called Caps for Good. You can help save the life of newborn by putting your talented hands together and creating a warm hat for little one. When I first heard of this campaign, I knew I had to participate. I love to crochet just for fun and am always looking for a way that I can use my skills to benefit others. Don't know to crochet yet, now would be a great time to learn. A beginner could crochet these easy and free patterns while watching tv. Imagine, how many little heads you can help to keep warm.
My goal is to make twenty-five hats by the end of the campaign in February of 2011. As of today, I have made five, hopefully I can surpass my initial goal.
Now won't you please join me and help save a life? Just click on the link below for more information on how to participate, then come back and tell me how many hats you plan to make.

An Issue with Time
Where do I start? Not sure, so I'll jump into it. Due to the passing of my beloved Nanie Iris on January 31st, 2010, I neglected to make my donation to Save the Children on February 1st as I had intended. However time permiting today, I finally got around to dealing with neglected issues and this was a priority for me. Thank You to all the wonderful people, friends, family and perfect strangers who helped reach my goals in raising money for Save the Children Haiti Emergency Fund.
