Today

Today my heart is heavy, weighted by the pain in all of our hearts.
Today my soul aches, for the companion I've known all my life.
Today my tears hide, in clear sight, brimming on the surface, but just shy.
Today I grieve my loss, today I feel a bit lost.
Today I remember my grandmother

    Thank you friends. It will be a hard day no matter what, but I'm okay I know she is at peace and that gives me peace.

    Such a beautiful poem! Grandparents mean the world to us! She is at peace now, and it is up to their Children and Grandchildren to keep them alive in our hearts and our family so that they live forever on in us! =)
